NBC: Sen. Kennedy Has a Brain Tumor
NBC News is reporting that Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) was discovered to have a malignant brain tumor on the left parietal lobe. It was found during evaluation after the second most senior member of the United States Senate suffered a seizure at home this past weekend.
Updated 05/20/08 at 5:30pm: In an incredibly powerful moment on the Senate floor, Senator Robert Byrd (D-West Virginia) broke down into tears talking about Senator Kennedy, a “dear friend.”

So sad, and watching that video clip just breaks your heart, especially considering how Byrd has come full circle in his own views.
On a more positive note, Kennedy looked great leaving the hospital today. Hopefully, he’s ready to sling as many arrows at this tumor as possible and even consider experimental and non-traditional therapies that show promise.
